Yo, I am a S.F. native who grew-up in the Mission/Excelsior back in the 80's. And although I had a lot of local friends (back then), I've found it VERY difficult nowadays to get any kind of opportunity to gig as a DJ in my hometown. Probably 'cuz I've lived in NYC since after High School.

There seems to be a monopoly goin' on out there . . .
it seems like a handful of DJ crews have sh_t "on lock". I've come home for annual visits & attend as many parties as possible.
I know I can rock a party as well as some of my teenage peers (i.e. Triple Threat), but 'how' do I get the opportunity?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated ;-)
